LITA of Marin

Taking the lonely out of aging since 1975

LITA's new video features several amazing volunteers and their dear friends who live in long-term care facilities around Marin. Made possible by a grant from Marin County Supervisor Judy Arnold, it was produced by Pam Haessly and Gary Howell of Jazzed About Media.
Holiday Gifts for the Elderly
Each year LITA collects, wraps and distributes new gifts for elders living in long-term care who would otherwise not receive a gift during the holidays. To find out how you can help, please click here.

LITA Families: Joyce, Justin, Jenna & Ethel

Very alert, Ethel was restless and bored living in small board and care with mostly disoriented and confused roommates. When asked what kind of a LITA friend she would like, she declared “someone who will do things with me to keep my mind active”. Joyce, Justin and Jenna are a lively family who fill her need perfectly. They visit weekly and play scrabble and trivia games. Ethel looks forward to Tuesdays with “the adopted family”. The feeling is mutual!
